Ride the train to the seaside. Steam trains run for six miles, weaving their way through the beautiful Purbeck countryside. From Norden Station at Purbeck Park, hop off at Corfe Castle station for the castle and village and then hop back on the train for the seaside town of Swanage and the Jurassic Coast. From Purbeck Park walk the ¾ mile trail to Corfe Castle (may not be suitable for all abilities). Alternatively ride the train to Corfe Castle station.

The majestic ruins of Corfe Castle have become one of England’s most iconic locations. Climb to the top for stunning landscape views with passing steam trains. Open all year but autumn to spring offers extra tranquillity. Audio tours and events. From Purbeck Park choose to walk the ¾ mile trail to Corfe Castle (may not be suitable for all abilities). Walk the trail to Corfe Castle, a ¾ mile route. Journey onwards to the Purbeck Ridge and the coast. Hike to the Hartland Way Trail on Hartland Moor, a national nature reserve, owned by the National Trust and part of the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Stop at Left Luggage Cafe for a freshly ground coffee or tea, cakes, snacks and ice creams. Grab and go or sit and enjoy the outdoor patio. The refreshment kiosk on the platform at Norden Station offers a range of hot and cold drinks, home made cakes and confectionery. Or have a picnic, tables are located around the Park.
