Say “boo” to a ghoul at the Blue Pool
The natural beauty and range of family-friendly activities on offer at Wareham’s Blue Pool never fails to impress and this Halloween, you’ll find half-term adventure a-plenty. Creep around the spooky woodland trails at this stunning, historic nature reserve keeping a look out for mischievous monsters or make yourself at home next to their fire pit, watching the flames dance hypnotically as you enjoy a hot chocolate.

Go pumpkin picking! Purbeck is home to some of the South West’s best produce, so why not enjoy a grand adventure amongst the gourds at Lectenbury Farm? Their charming pumpkin pick-your-own patch delights adults and little ones alike – que Instagram selfies! With over 3,000 pumpkins to pick until 31st October, pop by and harvest your own or choose a scrumptious, edible squash to rustle up a warming soup or veggie curry at home.

A devilishly good time at The Mowlem
Swanage’s Mowlem Theatre is the place to go for a touch of theatrics when visiting Purbeck. As well as showing movies such as Lyle, Lyle Crocodile throughout half-term, their show bar’s annual Halloween Bash is a great way to get your groove on this autumn. From 7pm until midnight on Saturday 29th October they promise classic, catchy tunes that will have you in a zombie-like trance, fang-tastic party drinks, and even a prize for the best costume. So, let’s make no bones about it – this is a party you don’t want to miss!
